Where we teach

A dance school for Meridian, Boise, Eagle and Nampa.

Treasured Dance Studio is on E Fairview Ave in Meridian, about fifteen minutes from central Boise. Families travel in from Boise, Eagle and Nampa, and the first class is always free wherever you are coming from.

Children’s dance classes

Preschool and kids’ classes from age three: Kids Combo, Jazz Pop and Pre-Ballet for the little ones, then jazz, ballet, hip hop and musical theatre as they grow. Small classes, so corrections are given by name.

Questions

The things parents ask us first.

Anything not covered here, just call or text (208) 617-4119 — you will get Emily, not a call center.

What should my dancer wear to their first class?
Comfortable clothes they can move in, hair pulled back securely, and a water bottle. Ballet is the only class with specific attire — everything else, come as you are. For a first class please don’t buy anything; we will tell you what you need once you know the class is the right one.
What do you need for ballet, hip hop and jazz?
Ballet — we prefer dancers in a leotard with tights and ballet shoes. Shorts or a skirt over the leotard are absolutely fine. Hip hop — tennis shoes are great. If there is mud on them it is best to go without, or bring a clean pair to change into. Jazz — no special attire needed. Ballet really is the only class with particular requirements for now.
How much do classes cost?
Tuition runs from $45 to $90 a month depending on the class and its length — most classes are $65. Family discounts are available when you have more than one dancer with us, and everything is billed monthly rather than as a lump sum up front.
What age can my child start dance classes?
From age three. Our Kids Combo classes are built for three to five year olds and introduce movement, rhythm and following instructions through creative play rather than formal technique. If they already sing and dance around the house, they are ready.
Which style should we start with?
For under-sixes, Kids Combo or Jazz Pop — both mix styles so nobody has to choose early. From six upward it usually comes down to temperament: ballet if they like precision and structure, hip hop or jazz if they want music and energy, lyrical or contemporary if they are drawn to telling a story. The class finder above will narrow it down, and a free trial settles it properly.
Is the first class really free?
Yes. Pick any class that suits your dancer’s age, come along and take part. Nothing to pay, no card details taken, and no obligation to enrol afterwards. Trial classes are open to any new student.
Can we join partway through the year?
Yes. We take new students throughout the year rather than only at the start of a term, and enrolment is flexible. A few classes have limited spaces left, which is marked on the class list above.
Do you have classes for adults?
Two a week, both in the evening — Adult Beginner Jazz on Mondays and Adult Lyrical and Contemporary on Thursdays. No experience needed. Most people in the room either danced years ago or have never done it at all.
Where are you, and do you take students from Boise?
We are at 58 E Fairview Ave, Meridian, ID 83646, roughly fifteen minutes from central Boise. We have families traveling in from Boise, Eagle and Nampa as well as Meridian.
